Sacra Capilla del Salvador is a beautiful church, located in Úbeda, Spain and is considered to be one of the most important buildings of the Spanish Renaissance architecture. Built in the 16th century, it was designed by the architect Andrés de Vandelvira, who took the motifs of the Italian Renaissance buildings and adapted them to the value and culture of Spain. The façade, built by Juan de Robles, is outstanding and is divided in three vertical sections, with an imposing bell tower at its centre. Inside, visitors admire the high altar of alabaster, as well as the main altarpiece of Tinto, a masterpiece of religious art. The dome of the church is decorated with an elegant ornamental fresco, which is painted by Francisco de Comontes. Don't forget to admire the numerous sculptures, marble tombs and the impressive stained-glass windows.
