Ryletorv, in midtown Lemvig, is the main square of the city and its center of attraction. Surrounded on all sides by mansions and buildings, Ryletorv is true to its name and in Danish, it means “Lively Square”. During summers, cobblestone streets, turf blocks and bustling markets come alive. Vicar’s Tower and Old Grain Store are other remarkable sightseeing spots close to the square. Wearing traditional folk dresses and sitting beside memorial statues, musicians and street performers often make the square alive with beautiful music in the corresponding season. The well-kept lawns are the ideal sitting places to chill while exploring the beautiful surroundings of the square. Merely few steps away from the square, lies Lejre Mill, the whitewindmill standing tall on the bank of River Vejle. A few minutes’ walk takes you to Gimsing Beach, where you can spend some quiet time amidst the mesmerizing natural beauty of crystalline waters, meadows and pristine beaches.
