The Ruiny zamku krzyżackiego w Toruniu are the remains of the Teutonic Knights’ brick castle that once stood on the edge of Toruń’s medieval town, its fragmentary walls and foundation traces sitting close to the Old Town and the Vistula riverbank. The site is visually instructive for the region’s brick Gothic building tradition: weathered red brick, buttress remnants and low wall fragments reveal the castle’s former footprint and defensive character without a standing keep.
