Ruiny v Cherepovtse is an informal ruin site within Cherepovets, a major industrial city in Russia’s Vologda Oblast on the Sheksna River. Rather than a conventional monument, it is visually defined by the remains of a deteriorated structure: broken masonry, exposed surfaces and empty openings that frame fragments of the surrounding city. The weathered textures and irregular geometry offer a stark counterpoint to Cherepovets’ modern industrial character, especially in low, angled light that deepens shadows across the damaged walls.
