Ruas do Pelourinho is a neighborhood in Pelourinho, a historical center of Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. It is best known for its colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and vibrant nightlife. Ruas do Pelourinho also has beautiful churches and other architectural masterpieces. Tourists and photographers can visit many of the city's attractions including Largo de Santa Teresa, a great place to have a drink or to simply admire the city's architectural beauty. The Cidade Alta and the Cidade Baixa are two great areas to explore and take in all the amazing and colorful scenery. There is plenty of street art to be admired here, ranging from sculptures and paintings to graffiti-clad walls. As it is a lively neighborhood, it offers a plethora of shops and galleries, as well as a number of excellent restaurants and cafes.
