Rozel Fort is a small but impressive fort set on top of a rocky outcrop on Jersey's north coast. It was built in the mid-19th century as part of Jersey's defenses against possible French invasion and overlooks Rozel Bay. Access to the fort is via a narrow road that winds up the steep hill. Inside, you will find several powder magazines and artillery skirted by a perimiter wall. While the fort itself is very simple in design, the expansive views of the bay and coastline from the top of the fort are quite stunning. A great place to explore from both a historic and photographic view point.
