The Royal Palace of Brussels (known in Dutch as Arsalia paleis or Koningkin paleis) is an 18th-century former palace and today houses the Belgian Federal Parliament. Located in the heart of Brussels, the palace is a popular tourist destination and can be visited free of charge by the public. Upon entering the palace grounds, visitors pass through two grandiose columns framing the terrace and view the magnificent gardens to the side. The palace exterior boasts a mixture of styles including Neoclassical, Baroque, and English Gothic architecture. Inside, numerous richly decorated rooms, an art gallery and a library can be explored. The lavish interiors include grand marble staircases, Roman-style porticos, and the richly decorated Royal Banqueting Hall.
