The Royal Courts of Justice, located in the Temple district of London, is the centre of the English court system. This iconic building, designed by George Edmund Street, is a Grade II listed building and is home to the High Court and the Court of Appeal, the two most senior courts of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. The building is a perfect example of Victorian architecture and is renowned for its grandeur and opulence. Inside, visitors can take in the 19th-century Gothic Revival style of the staircase, grand doors, stained glass windows, and many more fantastic features. Dignified sculptures of distinguished British legal figures can also be found around the perimeter of the building. Various courtrooms can be opened to the public for viewing, so be sure to check in advance to find out which rooms are accessible.
