Royal Albert Hall in South Kensington, United Kingdom is an iconic 19th century concert hall and home of the world-famous Proms concerts. It hosts over 370 events a year for audiences of up to 5000 people, from classical music concerts and ballets, to comedy shows and rock music. The hall is also a popular tourist attraction, and was designed by Captain Francis Fowke and Major-General Henry Y.D. Scott in the year 1871. The Hall features a stunning auditorium with incredible acoustics, and uniquely, it was built in a circular shape. Its outside wall is adorned with royal crests and terracotta statues, and you can even explore the Hall’s hidden passages beneath the seating. The Hall is easily accessible by public transport, and there are great cafés, shops and restaurants near by.
