Rose Valley (Güllüdere Vadisi) lies near Çavuşin in Avanos district, within Cappadocia’s volcanic landscape. Erosion has carved its soft tuff into winding gullies and sculpted ridges, exposing the pink and ochre layers that give the valley its name. Paths pass rock-cut chapels and cave spaces, traces of the region’s long Christian history. In low sunlight, shadows deepen the folds between the ridges and bring their bands of color into sharper view.
