Rock Island Trail

Rock Island Trail is a 4 mile hiking and biking trail located in Lee's Summit, United States. It is part of the 8-mile Rock Island Greenway, which spans both sides of the Missouri River and runs through the heart of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Rock Island Trail provides visitors with a secluded outdoor escape while still being close to urban amenities. The trail features diverse ecological habitats, from riparian areas to forests to prairies. Along the route, visitors can spot deer, birds, and other wildlife as well as historical markers. There are also three bridges along the way, including a 105-foot-tall bridge that spans the Missouri River. The trail is a great place for hikers and bikers looking for a leisurely stroll or a more challenging ride. Facilities include several benches, restroom access, and biking parking.
