Rocher de Falize is a large rock formation in Malmedy, which offers breath-taking views of the Belgian Ardennes. The formation itself dates to the Devonian period and is composed of conglomerate, sandstone and limestone. It includes up to 16 different layers, which all vary in height by up to 15 meters.

Surrounding the formation, you will find jagged rock formations and numerous rivers, as well as winding trails and steps, which can be conquered by ambitious hikers who seek to reach the peak of the formation. Tourists can find the formation off of the Millemont-Milmort road and can climb the path to the top. The immense rock formation is incredibly popular for climbers and offers routes for both experienced and beginner climbers. Both sides of the formation are used for climbing, with routes ranging from 5+ to 7b+ difficulty. Additionally, the site is popular for boulderers. Whether you prefer to explore the wonderful views of the Ardennes from the heights of Rocher de Falize or climb its challenging routes, this rock feature is a must-visit.
