📍 Canada
The Robson River is a glacier-fed tributary of the upper Fraser River in British Columbia’s Mount Robson Provincial Park. It drains Berg Lake, passes through Kinney Lake and descends a steep valley beneath Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Emperor Falls marks a dramatic drop along its course, while lower stretches rush between rocky banks and dense conifer forest. Pale, sediment-rich water and white rapids stand out against the dark evergreens; at Kinney Lake, the river broadens into a blue-green expanse framed by steep mountain slopes. The Berg Lake Trail follows much of the valley, linking these contrasting scenes of turbulent water, still lake surfaces and glacier-shaped terrain.
