📍 From Seljavallalaug, Iceland
Rivers' union or Icelands’ merging rivers, in Evindarhólar, Iceland, is a stunning natural wonder located just 2.5 hours away from Reykjavík. The rivers come together in a pool of pure, turquoise blue water, where the heavily oxygenated glacial water gives off a dramatic effect. You can take a stroll along the banks of the river or stand atop the ridge and admire the rugged landscape of the area, which is full of waterfalls, rivers and rolling grassy hills that stretch out into the horizon. On one side of the pool you can find birdlife dotted in with the trees, and the other side is full of wild horses still living in their natural habitat. The atmosphere is serene and silent, and the views of the Icelandic countryside below make for a truly spectacular sight.
