Ringheiligtum Pömmelte is an important archeological site in Pömmelte, Germany and is believed to have been in use since at least the Iron Age. It is the largest and most significant group of circular ditch enclosures in Germany and probably the whole of Europe, making it an important historical and archeological site. The site includes several large rings and ditches up to 25 m wide. It is thought to represent a pre-Roman tribal cult centre, possibly used by the Germanic Semnones tribe. The site has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visitors are able to walk throughout the site, although access to some parts is restricted to protect the site's historic structures. An interesting feature is the large number of Bronze and Iron Age artifacts that have been discovered, including weapons, tools, and coins.
