Rempart Mogador is a picturesque 1000-year-old fort located in the city of Essaouira, Morocco. Constructed in six phases between 1506 and 1764, it served as a defense against invading forces from the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors will be able to walk around the fort and explore its unique historical architecture, which includes gateways, stairways, bastions, and the moat-filled ditches. There are also replicas of old canons, an artillery used in the past to decorate the fort. Inside the fort, one can also find a mosque, a cemetery, three restaurants, and several cafes. While visiting the fort, one will be able to see the impressive views of the ocean and the nearby medina town.
