Refugio Bietti-Buzzi is an alpine refuge located in Mandello del Lario, in the province of Lecco, Italy. It is named after Erminio Bietti, who was a mountain guide in the area, and Roberto Buzzi, who was a photographer and alpinist. The alpine refuge provides cozy lodging for hikers, mountaineers and other outdoor enthusiasts. It is one of the most popular destinations for climbers, as the area is renowned for its stunning views of the lakes in Lombardy, the surrounding mountains and valleys. The Italian Alpenstock Association (AIA) has declared Refugo Bietti-Buzzi as one of the most beautiful mountain shelters in the Alps. It has all the necessary facilities, including a large kitchen and living area as well as several bedrooms. There is also a small chapel, which is dedicated to Maria and Joseph, the patron Saints of climbers. Due to its picturesque setting, this refuge is popular with photographers and is the perfect spot to capture some stunningly beautiful images of the Italian Alps.
