Redcar's Beach is a charming stretch of sand and shingle and is one of the few places in the northeast of England which is a sandy beach. It's very popular with locals, especially during the summer months, as the beach is family-friendly and makes for a great day out. It is scenic and features dramatic views of Saltburn-by-the-Sea pier and icy waters of the North Sea. It also has a children's fairground and a small amusement arcade. Swimming, kite- and windsurfing, as well as bird watching and miles of walking trails, offer plenty of activities for holidaymakers. There is often an ice cream van as well as a fish and chip shop. Whether it is a summer's day with sunbathers or a winter's day with stormy waves crashing, Redcar's beach is certainly worth a visit.
