Rattray Head Lighthouse is a prominent light guiding ships and fishermen on the North-East Coast of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Sitting at the entrance of Rattray Bay, the 24m tall, Grade B listed tower was built in the early 1800s. Offering a unique panorama of the Aberdeenshire Coast, it is a popular spot for walkers, hikers and other outdoor enthusiast due to its convenient location. Visitors can stroll along the surrounding scenic coastline for some breathtaking views and enjoy some serenity and peace. There are local trails and visitors can also spot some interesting bird species. The lighthouse also has an interesting history and is regularly maintained by the Northern Lighthouse Board.
