Randvik badestrand is a sheltered bathing beach on the Randvik peninsula, close to the center of Risør on Norway’s Skagerrak coast. It presents the classic landscape of Sørlandet: a small sandy shore framed by smooth, pale granite, low coastal vegetation and calm water opening toward rocky islets. The contrast between warm-toned sand, weathered stone and blue-green sea gives the beach its visual character, while the rounded rock surfaces provide wider views across the cove. In still conditions, reflections soften the scene; low sunlight brings out the granite’s textures and the contours of the surrounding shoreline.
