Råbjerg Mile, near Skagen, Denmark, is a dynamic coastal dune and one of Europe's largest migrating dunes. Covering an area of around 2 square kilometers, this natural phenomenon moves up to 18 meters per year due to strong westerly winds. For photographers, the best time to capture its shifting sands is during golden hour, when the low angle of the sun accentuates the dune's textures and shadows. Bring a wide-angle lens to capture its vastness and a zoom lens for detailed shots of wind-sculpted patterns. Tripods are essential because strong winds can cause camera shake. Note that the dune area lacks facilities, so prepare accordingly. Sturdy footwear is recommended for navigating the loose sand.
