Quart Towers
📍 Spain
Quart Towers is a unique architectural complex located in València, Spain. It consists of a 15th-century Gothic palace, with sumptuous interiors that have been kept totally intact, and by its side is the Quart Towers Park, a lovely nature reserve with gardens and canals. This ensemble was declared a “cultural good of national interest” by the Spanish government in 1948.

The interior of the palace features a collection of treasured works of art, such as the Valencian Pietat (or Pietà) by the great Renaissance painter Paolo Caliari, also known as Palladio. The interiors of Quart Towers feature sober dark wooden furniture and delicate marble columns, combining numerous styles ranging from Gothic to Renaissance. Visitors can explorer the exterior galleries of the palace, as well as the two towers, which offer a great view of the park and the city of València. The park is quite extensive, and features a large circular pool, some statues, and a variety of plant species. There are also several monuments of historic importance in the park, such as a statue of the Virgin María Auxiliadora, patron saint of Valencia, or the “Monument to the Plantations”, made by the famous Valencian sculptor Eusebio Sempere in 1926. If you're in València, the Quart Towers is definitely worth a visit!
