Qatar Foundation situated in Doha's Education City, is a non-profit organization devoted to the enrichment and betterment of Qatar through its core values of education, science, and community development. It was created in 1995 by then-Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to provide high-quality education to Qatar's youth and to support research aimed at furthering the development of its culture and economy. Education City comprises many buildings, centers, and universities, including the Qatar National Library and the National Museum of Qatar. The campus also hosts large-scale conferences, as well as commercial and outdoor events. Qatar Foundation is also home to a small oasis of peaceful gardens with blooming flowers, making it a great place to take a tranquil stroll and savor the beauty of nature in the hustle-bustle of the capital city.
