Puppenbrunnen, or Children's Fountain, in Aachen, Germany, is a public art installation created in 2003 to celebrate the city's 1000th anniversary. Located in the historic market square, the monument consists of eight figureheads of historical characters, representing various time periods in Aachen's history. The fountain is a popular site among tourists, who often take pictures of the brightly coloured figures. In the evening, the fountain is illuminated to create an impressive sight. Visitors can also take a closer look at the figures as they stand upon a semi-circular plinth decorated with special characters and symbols of the city. The Children's Fountain is a great addition to Aachen's iconic sights and provides a stunning and meaningful photo opportunity.
