Punta Sant’Angelo is the steep volcanic promontory that defines Sant’Angelo, a former fishing village on the southern coast of Ischia in the municipality of Serrara Fontana. Joined to the village by a narrow isthmus, its dark, rugged mass rises above a compact harbor and a cluster of pale Mediterranean houses. The contrast between rock, water, tiled roofs, fishing boats, and narrow pedestrian lanes gives the settlement its recognizable silhouette. Views across the bay emphasize the scale of the headland, while calmer water can mirror the boats and waterfront façades. The village center is largely pedestrianized, preserving the intimate character of its piazzetta and seafront paths.
