Puerto de Arrecife is a beautiful waterfront marina located in the capital of the Canary Islands, Arrecife. It's the island's main port, from which you can explore all areas of the Canary Islands or contemplate the stunning Atlantic views from its broad promenades or popular restaurants. You can walk around the harbor, admire the colorful fishing boats, or take a tour to the nearby small islands. The old Salt Works of Arrecife are an interesting option for a day out. You can also visit the impressive Castillo San José, a fortress-castle built in the 18th century which now houses the Museo Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo. For the more adventurous, head north to the Timanfaya National Park to explore the incredible volcanic cinder cones and amazing lava fields.
