Puerta del Perdón y Patio de los Naranjos
📍 Spain
The Puerta del Perdón and Patio de los Naranjos are impressive monuments located in the Royal Alcazar of Sevilla, the spectacular and imposing palace of the Kings of Sevilla. The Puerta del Perdón (Door of Pardon) was built in the 16th century and is a true work of art; it is composed of several Renaissance-style arches and its façade is decorated with countless tiles. This door was used as an entrance to the Alcazar by the Kings when they granted pardons to their prisoners. The Patio de Los Naranjos (Court of Orange Trees) is one of the most striking spaces of the palace and is beautifully decorated with many tiles and fountains that are surrounded by orange trees, which are typical of the region. Visiting the Puerta del Perdón and Patio de los Naranjos is an unforgettable experience that will transport you to a fairytale.
