Puente Nuevo de Ronda
📍 From Mirador La Hoya Del Tajo, Spain
The Puente Nuevo de Ronda is a spectacular arched stone bridge located in the city of Ronda, in the Spanish province of Málaga. The bridge crosses the Tajo gorge, dividing the old part of the city from the new part. It offers incredible views of the Tajo canyon. The bridge was built between 1751 and 1793 and was made of polished stone of extra-hard quality. It is one of the most famous and photographed monuments in Andalusia. On its top floor there is a chapel from which you can admire the spectacular views of the city. The exact design of the Puente Nuevo has been debated for many years, but it is believed that the architect Matías Latorre played an important role in its design. The bridge offers a great opportunity to stroll through its arches and discover the beautiful views of Ronda and its surrounding landscape.
