Puente de Piedra (Stone Bridge) is a picturesque Romanesque style stone bridge that spans the Pisuerga River in the town of Montemayor del Río in Castile and León, northern Spain. This ancient bridge dates to the 13th century and served as the main trading route for locals. The bridge is completely filled with typical small Romanesque columns, made of local stone. Its design is well preserved and still in use today. It is a gentler, yet incredible and beautiful natural setting, whereby you can enjoy the river, the view of the town, and the sound of the birds flying over the bridge. The bridge is a favorite among tourists and photographers alike and can be a very beautiful and tranquil spot for taking pictures.
