Puente de Piedra, or Stone Bridge, is an iconic structure located in Logroño in La Rioja, Spain. The bridge and its surrounding area have earned the nickname “little Venice” due to their resemblance. Puente de Piedra dates back to the early 19th century and was originally made of wood, before being upgraded to stone in 1853.

The bridge spans the brightly-colored river Ebro which winds through the city, lining its banks with historical monuments, restaurants, and other attractions drawing in both tourists and locals alike. Puente de Piedra provides some of the best photography angles in Logroño, offering sweeping, majestic views of the city from its bridge. Photographers will love capturing the curves, angles and reflections of Ebro against the city’s backdrop. The bridge is particularly beautiful during sunrise and sunset, with incredible sunrises over the eastern bank, as well as some of the best views of the city skyline at night.
