Puente de la Mujer (or Woman's Bridge) is located in the Puerto Madero district of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is a piece of modern architecture designed by Spanish architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava in 2001. This bridge, with its graceful lines, links the docks and warehouses of Puerto Madero with the larger city. It is one of the highlights of the modern area and has become an iconic symbol of Buenos Aires. The area is known for great views of the harbor and the skyline, as well as a wide selection of restaurants, bars and shops. The bridge is mostly made of white steel and painted orange and has a rotating section in the center, allowing large ships to pass through. It is one of the most photographed spots in the city, allowing you to get great photos of the bridge in contrast with the skyline of the city.
