Puente Colgante is a popular tourist spot in El Bolsón, a small city in the heart of Patagonia, Argentina. It offers stunning views of the rapids of the Encenillo River and the lush mountain vegetation of the region. The bridge, built in 1939, is a two-level suspension bridge made of rustic wood and metal cables, allowing you to walk from one side of the river to the other. The route crosses the river over the bridge and continues up to El Salpihue, where a beautiful natural monument is the gateway to the Arroyo de los Caitos Natural Monument. The bridge also offers spectacular views of the snow-covered peaks of the Patagonian Andes, including the Cerro Arco, the second-highest peak in Argentina. Puente Colgante is a scenic and picturesque spot that shouldn’t be missed while in El Bolsón!
