Located in Pruchnik, Poland, is the historic village of Pruchnika, a must-see for travelers. The hilltop village is situated on the Dunajec River, and rises above the surrounding low-lying plain cut by the river and dotted with oak woods, adding a unique atmosphere. It's easy to explore Pruchnika, as most of its streets are connected by small stone bridges and alleys. One of the most notable attractions is the 13th century St Matthias Church and its adjoining cemeteries. Besides the old churches, other historical buildings include the classic wooden Baroque Granary, a late 19th century watermill and a 19th century ensemble of richly decorated former manor houses. Travelling further will take you to the city's two main markets, offering locally produced food, clothes and handicrafts. Pruchnika is a great place to explore traditional Polish customs, as there are many folk festivals, folk costumes and artists present throughout the year.
