Provins is a town located in the Seine-et-Marne region of France, about 110 km southeast of Paris. With a long history dating back to medieval times, Provins is filled with stunning architecture, including famous ramparts, towers, churches and one of the oldest city halls in France. Today, Provins is known for its medieval festivals, particularly during the summers. The town has been granted recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, thanks to its well-preserved historical monuments and picturesque sights. There is plenty to do in Provins, such as touring the ancient walls, exploring ruins, and shopping in the local stores. The Sunday markets offer a range of fresh produce and pastries. Provins is also home to some of the country’s best wineries where one can enjoy a taste of traditional French wines.
