Proposal Rock is a large wedge of rock which is a popular sight near the beach in Neskowin, Oregon. It is a 60-foot-high landmark that juts out into the Pacific Ocean, and is best known for its unique shape which looks like the beak of a giant sea bird. The rock can be viewed from the beach, or can be reached by a path up the hill and along the ridge so you can enjoy the sweeping views of the beach and the Cape Kiwanda stretch of the Oregon Coast. Beachcombing, whale-watching, and nature-watching are popular activities to do there. Legend has it that if a couple stands on the rock together and holds hands, then their marriage proposal will be granted.
