Promenade du Lohic follows the waterfront of Port-Louis, a fortified Breton town at the entrance to Lorient’s roadstead in Morbihan. The walk reflects the town’s close relationship with its natural harbour, where pleasure boats, working vessels and the opposite shoreline create a layered maritime view. Tides continually reshape the foreground, exposing darker rocks and seaweed before the water returns, while changing Atlantic light shifts the scene from cool blue-grey to bright silver. Low walls, coastal vegetation and the broad expanse of sheltered water give photographs a distinctly southern Breton character.
