Promenade des Dunes is a pedestrian seafront space in Seignosse-Océan, the beach resort west of Seignosse village on France’s Landes coast. Set between the resort and the Atlantic, it reflects the local landscape of broad sandy beaches, low dunes, maritime grasses and the pine forest that extends inland. The most characteristic images combine weathered boardwalks and pale sand with the horizontal bands of vegetation, ocean and sky; surfers and beachgoers add the human rhythm closely associated with Seignosse. Marked paths help limit erosion and protect the dune plants that stabilize this exposed shoreline.
