Procida is a picturesque Italian island located in the Gulf of Naples off the coast of the Campania region. It is the smallest inhabited island in the Bay of Naples. The island is famous for its vibrant colors, breathtaking views, and beautiful beaches. Procida's main town, Corricella, is the loveliest of ports, with its brightly painted fishermen's houses depicting the lateral shades of the Mediterranean. There are some wonderful walking trails along the coastline and through the island's temperate hillside forests. Visitors can also explore the historical sites of Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo, Castello d'Avalos, Forte Fogliano and Torre d'Ultimo. The crystal clear waters of Procida's Blue Grotto are a great spot to swim or snorkel, while the small island of Vivara can be hiked around in a few hours. Procida is the perfect destination for a relaxed holiday or short break.
