📍 From North Viewpoint, Norway
Preikestolen and North Viewpoint, in Strand, Norway, are some of the most breathtaking landscapes you’ll ever see. Preikestolen (or Pulpit Rock) is a massive cliff towering over the Lysefjord and reflects perfectly in its crystal waters. The North Viewpoint is a lookout point on the way to Pulpit Rock offering panoramic views of the mountainous fjords and islands. The road leading to Preikestolen is about two hours of drive from Stavanger and accessible from late summer to late winter. Once there, you can hike up the steep slopes from the car park through a beautiful forest or take a fjord boat from nearby town of Forsand (best done from late April to October). It takes about 2.5-3 hours to reach the top of the six hundred meter mountain, an exhilarating experience not to be missed!
