Praça Dom Pedro IV in Lisbon, Portugal, is one of the most iconic spots in the city. Located in the Baixa district, this large square is a popular meeting point and a must-see for visitors. It's known for the historic buildings that line its perimeter, including the City Hall, Comércio Palace, and Rossio Station. The center of the square is home to the Basilica da Estrela, a neoclassical church, and statues of its namesake, Pedro IV. The former king of Portugal is depicted on horseback with a soldier at his feet.

At its southern end, the square connects to Avenue da Liberdade, another popular shopping and dining area. The pedestrian streets surrounding Praça Dom Pedro are filled with café bars and lively spots to people watch while sipping a glass of port or enjoy a pastel de nata (Portuguese egg tart). The nearby Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara is a great spot to take in views of the city and Rio Tejo.
