Pozzo di Palazzo d'Accursio is a stunning baroque fountain in Bologna, Italy. It was built in 1696 by Giovanni Battista Torregiani and is located in the courtyard of the Palazzo d'Accursio. The central feature of the marble fountain is an Ancient Roman marble mask with water rushing out of its mouth, from which arcaded steps and columns emerge. The upper part of the fountain is decorated with marble statues and delicate scrolling designs, creating a harmonious balance between the solidity of the masonry structure and the energy of the flowing water. Together with the nearby Palazzo, it is a popular tourist view and photos of it can be found in many Italian books and brochures.
