Portones del Parque General San Martín is a beautiful monument built in 1889 to honor General José de San Martín, the liberator of Argentina from Spanish colonial forces. Situated between two mountains in the western part of the mid-sized city of Córdoba, Argentina, it’s a popular spot for photographers and tourists alike. Take in views of the city’s skyline from the top of the old gates, or explore the intricate carved stone gates that lead to a pathway into the woods. You can even see a statue of General San Martín at the entrance of the park.
