Portofino is a small harbor town on the Italian Riviera, southeast of Genoa, tucked into a sheltered inlet beneath the wooded slopes of the Ligurian coast. Its fishing heritage remains visible in the compact waterfront and boats moored close to shore, while larger yachts reflect its identity as an international resort. Tall, closely packed houses in ochre, pink and terracotta frame the harbor, with green shutters and painted architectural details adding texture to the façades. The Piazzetta opens directly onto the water, linking the town’s social center to its maritime setting. Above the harbor, the Church of San Giorgio and Castello Brown occupy the headland; elevated views reveal the curved shoreline, clustered rooftops and striking contrast between colorful buildings, dark vegetation and blue water.
