Porto Cathedral is a stunning Ancient Roman working situated in Porto, Portugal. Constructed in the 12th century, its Romanesque and Gothic design inspired a similarly extraordinary interior finish. With inspiring white marble, gilded carvings, statues, and murals, a visit to the cathedral will leave you in awe. The main feature of the cathedral is the intricate Baroque organ that covers the entirety of the chancel wall. Though it may not be the largest church in Portugal, it is an iconic symbol of the city and an inspiration for the faithful. A visit to this incredible architectural specimen promises to help you soak up the centuries of Portuguese history that went into its making. Porto Cathedral is open to visitors from April to October from 9 am to 7 pm, from November to March from 9 am to 5 pm. Admission is free.
