Port de Honfleur, in Honfleur, France, is one of the best known ports in the world for its picturesque, colorful scenes and rolling landscape. The port is located in the north of the French Normandy Coast, with a backdrop of old-fashioned buildings and churches. There are many boat trips that one can join from the port to visit, or explore the charming streets of Honfleur and nearby sights. Along the docks of the port, one can find an array of seafood restaurants and bars, many of them facing the spectacular harbor. A must-see is the Saint-Etienne Church, and the abbey-church of Sainte-Catherine, which was built in the 13th century. From the port, one can also explore the banks of the Seine and the spire-filled church of Notre-Dame de Grace that stands atop the harbor. Honfleur is also home to souvenir markets and galleries, boutiques, and of course the smell of fresh seafood from the enfilade of seafood restaurants. A relatively unchanged fishing port since the 18th century and now one of the most visited tourist destinations, the Port de Honfleur is a sight of great beauty, that cannot be missed.
