Ponte Tibetano is a popular destination for travelers and photographers in Italy. Nestled in the idyllic Valtellina valleys of the stunning city of Tartano, this suspension bridge and hiking trail are a great way to explore the beauty of the landscape. Spanning more than 400 meters, the bridge's height makes it visible for miles around, and its dangling cables create a unique optical illusion that looks as if the bridge is floating in the air. Part of the trek to reach the bridge includes a trip down the Boggia Falls, a cascading narrow gorge steeped in a mythological story about the spirit of the river. Ponte Tibetano is easily accessed from Tartano; just a 30 minute drive to the Biandino and walking for around 4km to get you there.
