The beautiful and famous Ponte di Rialto and Canal Grande in Venice, Italy, are two of the must-see attractions of the city. Ponte di Rialto (Rialto Bridge) is an iconic bridge that spans the widest part of the Grand Canal. Built in the 16th century, it is constructed entirely of white limestone and has an impressive structure with two tall arcades and a broad central arch that offers incredible views of the canal below. Canal Grande (Grand Canal) is the main waterway through the heart of Venice, lined with spectacular buildings from the 13th century onwards. Its many bridges, churches and mansions, rising straight up from the water, make for a truly romantic atmosphere, best enjoyed by taking a slow and relaxing ride in a traditional gondola.
