Ponte 25 de Abril is a majestic suspension bridge that spans the Tejo River and connects the cities of Lisbon and Almada in Portugal. It is one of the most iconic landmarks in the country, and is often mistaken for the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, USA. It was inaugurated in 1966, and has 3 road lanes, two railways, and two sidewalks. From the bridge, you can also enjoy a stunning view of the city of Lisbon and its surroundings. It has become a popular spot for photographers and visitors alike, who flock to it for panoramic views and to take photos. Note that the access to the bridge is strictly forbidden due to safety reasons. However, the views from afar never cease to amaze and make for wonderful memories.
