๐ From Prom. Henri Martin, France
Pont Saint-Pierre de Toulouse, located in downtown Toulouse, is a historic bridge connecting the Left Bank and the Right Bank of the Garonne River. It was built in 1872 in the designed of Romanesque style. Pilgrims use to pass the bridge to reach the Basilica of Saint-Sernin, the main Roman Catholic church of the city. It is connected to the River Garonne's embankment with its eight arches, and it has two towers on its highest point, which provide an impressive view of the city. At night the bridge is illuminated and its towers are lit up, creating a picturesque atmosphere. Pont Saint-Pierre de Toulouse is one of the symbols of Toulouse and an important venue for the locals. It's a great place to appreciate the Garonne river and breathe in the fresh air of the city.
