Pont de Saint-Nazaire is a bridge across the Loire estuary in the town of Saint-Brevin-les-Pins, France. The bridge is a remarkable feat of engineering, as it is built on a 1.5km stretch of sand and mud in the middle of the estuary. From the bridge, visitors and photographers can get stunning views of the river, the nearby coastline, the islands, and the nearby towns of La Baule and Pornichet. The bridge has been in use since the mid 20th century and is a beloved fixture in the region. The bridge is currently closed for pedestrian and vehicle traffic, but is open to cyclists and pedestrians. Visitors can also walk along the bridge and take in the sights of the estuary.
